As dogs became domesticated, they evolved a special facial
muscle around their eyes, found a study reported in the New Scientist. The study suggests that dogs have a
facial muscle for making those “puppy dog eyes” that melt our hearts.
The zoomies – nearly every puppy does it to a greater or lesser extent, in their first few months. It happens once a day, or sometimes twice, at the same time, most commonly in the early evening. It also happens when your puppy is excited, or suddenly startled, or it can be triggered by being on certain surfaces.
Play with the toy with your dog for a few seconds at least three times during the walk. Play in different places. Your aim is to show your dog that you’re fun to be with.
Stalking is when a dog fixates on another dog (or sometimes human, or other animal.) They’ll stare fixedly at their target, lower their body, then move slowly, creeping towards the object of their focus.
