Walking with your dog is one of the greatest pleasures of owning a dog – or at least it should be. If your daily walks are a struggle, our 2 session Wonderful Walkies Masterclass is just what you need
What did you dream of when you got your dog?
You got a dog because you want to take them out for walks, right?
You want to enjoy that companionship.
You want a reason to get out and walk, to stroll happily for miles, your dog by your side.
You want that chance to get away from your family for a short while and enjoy the peace and quiet wandering with your faithful friend.
I love walking Gus, especially this last weekend when the weather was so gorgeous. Wandering around the local roads just being at peace and enjoying life. Is there anything better?
(Plus the fact that I have a sense of achievement when my watch tells me I’ve closed my exercise ring for that day. Can’t deny that plays a part too!)
The joy of walking with your dog cannot be underestimated
But not everyone enjoys taking their dogs out.
I passed two other people on yesterday’s walk.
The first had a large black Labrador. She had both hands gripping the lead and was leaning backwards as her dog pulled her past us. She just about managed a quickly blurted hello through her gritted teeth before she was dragged into the distance.
The second had a spaniel cross. She kept swapping her lead from one hand to the other as her dog trotted from side to side, nose down, oblivious to anything but the scents it was following. She looked totally fed up. Her progress was stop-start, being jerked one way then the other.
Neither person looked as if they were enjoying their walk. Neither dog looked as if they cared who was attached to the end of the lead.
What Gus & I say to each other while we’re out walking
Gus and I looked at each other. He was wondering why these people hadn’t booked for the Wonderful Walkies Masterclass starting on Saturday? Because they could benefit so much.
He’s right.
Come and learn how to enjoy your dog walks again.
We’d love to see you.
Keep training and stay safe,
Carol
