Dog parks can be your dog’s worst nightmare

In this week’s Talk Tip we talk about the up and downside of dog parks, and about how we’ need your ideas for for future Tips

In this week’s Talking Tip we talk about the up and downside of dog parks, and about how we ned your ideas for future Tips

This week’s Talking Tip is all about dog parks – the good, the bad and the ugly.

Dog parks – love them or hate them?

I don’t like them – and neither do many dogs. Gareth explains why Tippi had a bad experience and we chat about why dog parks are a bit like raves.  I explain how dog parks can cause problem behaviours and why many dogs hate being pestered.

You can find today’s Talking Tip here along with all the others from previous weeks.

This is Tip 51 – there’s a huge library of them now! We’ve got one more “in the can” that we’ll cover next week, but we can’t make any more at the moment for obvious coronavirus-based reasons, so after next week there’ll be some changes.

We want your input for future Talking Tips

Instead, we’ll be moving online (quell surprise!). We’ll record some future Tips that way, but we’ve also got some new ideas and we’d love your input. I’ve put some questions below and we’d love to hear your thoughts – please email us at training@downdog.co.uk to send in your thoughts:

  • What do you wish you’d known before getting your pup?
  • Is there anything your dog does that surprises you?
  • Are there any other doggy topics you want to know more about?

Thanks for replying!

Enjoy!

Carol
