Why rescue dogs are in the spotlight

I’ve written part of another book – well, one chapter to be precise!
It’s launching this week.

“Rescue Dog Rehoming Remedies: eleven dog training secrets and stories from the world’s leading rescue dog trainers” has been pulled together by Dom Hodgson following a mammoth cycle ride, the Tour de Rescue, that he did around northern England and Wales last year.

Not only did he cycle many miles each day, he ran several seminars in the evenings too, all to raise money to help rescue dogs. (He didn’t come here, mainly because it’s difficult cycling over water, though we have some plans for the future.)

I’m honoured to be included in the book alongside ten other wonderful trainers who have shared their stories. There a lot of great knowledge in the pages and it’s entertaining too.

Plus every penny of profit will go to rescue charities.

It’s a great read and every penny of profit from the sales will go to the rescue centres supported on the Tour.

  • You’ll learn about multi-dog households
  • Adopting a dog with a long shelter history
  • How to train a new rescue dog
  • How to use management games to help your new dog settle in, and
  • How to address any behaviour problems

You’ll enjoy (and possibly cry a bit) at the lovely stories about many different rescue dogs throughout the book.

So why not buy a copy? Given the new restrictions that came in this week, it’ll be something to read while you can’t have friends round this weekend.

It’s only £1.99 on Kindle (and free with Kindle Unlimited), or £8.99 for the paperback version. You can find them on Amazon here.  I’ve already ordered my copy.

You’ll get a great book and be helping rescue dogs into the bargain, because every penny of profit is going to the rescue charities Dom visited on the Tour.

Keep safe and keep training,

Carol
