Why is other poo so good to eat?

This week’s Talking Tip is all about poo – part 2!

After talking about dogs eating their own poo last week we move on to talk about dogs eating other animals poo – other dogs, cat poo, horse poo or cow poo.

We explain why some dogs find other poo so irresistible, especially cat poo, and where you should put the litter tray to avoid problems. And we explain how you can avoid your dog eating other types of poo when out and about.

The games we mention in the Tip we teach on our Perfect Pet course, so if you want to join us, book on the website at: https://www.downdog.co.uk/PerfectPet.

Please tell your dog-owning friends too.

You can find today’s Talking Tip here along with all the others from previous weeks.

Please do write in and ask if you have a question you’d love us to answer. I want to make sure these Talking Tips are useful to you.

Enjoy!

Have a good weekend,

Keep training and keep safe,

Carol

PS. If you’ve got a lunging, barking dog, don’t forget our 12 session Reactive Rover bootcamp starring next Wednesday 22nd July. Here’s what one owner said: “It has been a bit like therapy for me, I was able to identify a lot of unhelpful thoughts and develop more realistic expectations for myself and Boris…we need to take a deep breath, focus on basic commands, practice dealing with one thing at a time and don’t pay attention to the negativity of others or myself. The additional check-ins and Q&A’s were useful as it is easy to get overwhelmed so these were helpful to reflect, refocus and for clarity.” Here’s the link again if you want to help your pulling, lunging, barking dog: https://www.downdog.co.uk/reactive.
