“B is now three and had gone from loving all dogs to being what I perceived as unpredictable and bad tempered. It started as him pulling towards some other dog, to growling, lunging and latterly snapping. I knew he was uneasy around puppies and younger dogs, but this progressed to me not being able to predict his reaction. If your dog reacts to other dogs, you’re probably (and sensibly) worried about bringing them to a class. It’s difficult to concentrate and learn anything when you’re spending all your time trying to hold them, and a barking dog in your ear means it’s impossible to hear anything anyway.
