On National Nothing Day people can focus on the benefits of rest and why doing nothing can help recharge your batteries and give you renewed energy.
My new book
My latest book, Doggy Doctor Surgery Secrets, has been sent off to the printers. I’m proud of it and looking forward to launching it properly around the end of this month.
This book tells my story – why I always wanted a dog and how two dogs with problems eventually led to be becoming The Doggy Doctor. I share why my experience as a “real” doctor has helped me become a leading dog trainer and behaviourist and makes me uniquely positioned to help others become effective empathetic teachers in their own right.
For now, I am tired and need a rest.
Did you know today is apparently National Nothing Day? A day where people can focus on the benefits of rest and why doing nothing can help recharge your batteries and give you renewed energy.
Lives today are so busy and frantic. You rush from one task to the next hardly pausing for breath. When you do get a few minutes to rest, you’ll pick up an electronic device and scroll through social media or look up that quirky thing you heard about in Google. Even in bed at night, thoughts will canter round your brain preventing sleep.
Rest is important.
Rest to allow your body to mend and renew and your mind to empty.
Proper rest increases productivity. It increases enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life – giving you time to smell the roses as they say.
Make sure you get a proper rest today and this weekend to celebrate National Nothing Day and I’ll see you next week.
Keep training and stay safe,
Carol
