Why I’m tired

What ONE thing would you change about your dog? Perhaps not jumping all over visitors? Maybe less fearless? Or calmer when you’re out and about? Or happier being groomed or seeing the vets? Let us know! So we can work out how to help with these issues

Busy at a dog conference

I’m tired. It’s been very peopley recently.

I’ve been on a fantastic dog conference weekend with my business mentor, the Pet Biz Wiz Dom Hodgson and meeting up with fellow dog business friends (including some of you!). And for someone who is not a very peopley person and has been very comfortable being not-peopley for the past two years, it was wonderful but also very tiring.

That wasn’t helped by the plane home being delayed and me not getting back home until 1.30am…

However, it was an excellent weekend and I’ve come back buzzing with ideas – Gareth and the team need to brace themselves….

I had missed Gus so we had a good cuddle for around 30 seconds until he remembered to be annoyed I’d abandoned him and wandered off in search of his biscuits and bed.

Why doesn’t Gus love cuddles as much as I do?

I love him to bits but I do wish he’d be a bit more cuddly sometimes.

Would you change anything about your dog?

Perhaps you’d love calmer walks without your arm being pulled out of its socket

Or stop jumping all over people who come to your home.

Perhaps you’d love to let your dog off lead and know they’ll come back

Or you wish your dog would be less fearful

Or you want your dog to relax when left alone instead of trashing the house.

Perhaps you want your dog to shut up instead of barking at every passing thing.

Or that she would enjoy being groomed.

Or he would want to swim with you in the sea.

Perhaps you want her to settle down quickly in new places.

Or just want him to calm down.

Our Perfect Pet courses have been set up to help you with the main common problems – building a great relationship, pulling on lead, not coming back, objecting to being handled and instilling good manners.  If you’re struggling with any of these problems, book on a course.

Finally, I’d love it if you could help us by getting in touch with your answer to the following question:

What ONE thing would you change about your dog?

Keep training and stay safe,

Carol
