This week’s Down Dog Digestible is all about grooming short and medium coated dogs.

Short coated dogs need the least grooming. Medium coated dogs need more care. Catherine gives you the benefit of her specialist knowledge in today’s Digestible.

Team member Catherine is a professional dog groomer

She tells you which brushes are best for which coats and how to use them properly – and we chat about which parts to be careful about.

We’ll have more about the coats which need special care from the day you bring them home in a future Digestible.

Being at home with lockdown has given me the opportunity to groom Gus more often. It’s been great for that – but lockdown has created other problems.

Are you worried that your dog will get stressed as we leave lockdown?

Perhaps your dog is now used to you being around a lot more over this past year. But as we come out of lockdown over the next few months you’re going to be leaving your dog alone again. It’s common to see separation problems in dogs after owners have been home for a while – many dogs struggle to adjust to being left alone again.

Be fair to your dog. It’s not too early to prepare them for the change, which is why we’re running our three session, live taught online Serene Separation course from 24th March. Click the link for more details.

You can find today’s Digestible here along with the others from previous weeks.

Please do write in and ask if you have a question you’d love us to answer. I want to make sure these Digestibles answer any doggy queries you have.

Enjoy!

Keep safe,

Carol
