Why my life involves the Power of Two

Two aims in life. Two problem dogs. Two careers. All described in Carol’s new book, Doggy Doctor Surgery Secrets.

My new book, Doggy Doctor Surgery Secrets, not only tells my story, but will also help people who are thinking about a career as a dog trainer and/or dog behaviourist.

My dreams

The number two has figured large in my life.

As a child I had two aims – to be a doctor and to have a dog. I achieved those two aims.

Then two problem dogs I encountered led me to become a dog behaviourist, The Doggy Doctor.

Which means I’ve had two careers.

I’ve also got two daughters, though only one husband (so far!) and my two parents are still alive and well – they had their first vaccine dose last week so long may that be the case.

My two careers look very different at first glance, but they are surprisingly similar.

I’ve got a new book

My new book, Doggy Doctor Surgery Secrets, is about the lessons I learned from my work as a doctor and how they’ve helped me work successfully in a completely different sphere – dog training and behaviour.

I’ve written this book not only to tell my story, but also to help people who are thinking about a career as a dog trainer and/or dog behaviourist.

One of my wonderful early readers said: “It’s a great book for someone wanting to create a career in the canine world as it provides a clear structure they could use to start on their career.”

The book will be available later this week to order from Amazon or via our website, but if you’d like the chance to win a free copy, come along to my online book launch on Thursday 28th January at 7pm. It’s free to attend – if you want to come along, please book your place here.

I’ll be telling you more about it next time.

Keep training and stay safe,

Carol
