Barking dogs are wearing. I know – Gus barks too much at times. It makes me really annoyed and then I shout at him, which doesn’t help, although it might make me feel better briefly.
Last night was horrendous, with the howling wind and lashing rain – as evidenced by the flooded fields here this morning. Poor Gus was really unsettled, pacing around and barking and whining and even his best Lickimat wasn’t much help.
It’s hard work at times, living with a barking dog. Claire Lawrence of High Peak Dog Services became an expert in barking dogs when she had problems with her own dogs. Which is why I’ve teamed up with her to run an online webinar to help.
The webinar was going to be this Sunday, but, for various reasons, Claire has pushed it back to Sunday 29th November 6.30-9pm – which is good as it gives you a bit longer to book! (If you have already booked, you will automatically be transferred to the new date – let me know if that’s a problem)
It’s a wonderful opportunity to get some tried and tested practical hints to help you with your dog.
We were going to run it as an in-person event, first last July then this month, but Covid’s put a stop to that. But it will be just as good, if not better, online. Claire is a great speaker and is a fount of knowledge about barking dogs.
And there’s more – if you book a ticket to this event, you’ll also receive a physical copy of her book, Three Steps to Silence, which will be sent out afterwards. Plus, there’ll be a special lockdown bonus.
Please don’t miss this chance to hear what Claire has to say. She’s entertaining and fun and you’ll get loads of tips and tricks for how to help your barking dog.
Keep training and stay safe,
Carol
PS We’ve got a free help sheet on teaching your dog the ‘quiet’ cue (see the Free stuff tab on the website – alert barking), which is fine when you’re in control of the situation and have the time and, yes, the patience.
