Have you ever dreamed of becoming a dog trainer?

Have you ever considered becoming a dog trainer?

Have you ever thought of that dream becoming reality? Where you jack in your current job and work full time with dogs? If so, you’ll have many questions:
–      Do I know enough about dogs?
–      Have I got enough experience with dogs?
–      What if I’m not good enough?
–      What if I can’t solve a dog’s problem?
–      What do I need to do first?
–      Do I need any particular qualifications?

I’ve been inviting people to complete a survey on this very subject and it’s striking how so many of the answers are so similar.

The biggest concern, in over four fifths of people, is that they don’t know enough. Enough about dogs, about behaviour, about training, about handling, or about teaching.

Which leads to fear. Fear that you won’t know what to do if you’re faced with something out of your comfort zone. Fear that you won’t be good enough, or that you’ll be stumped when someone asks you a question, or you’re not sure what’s going on with a particular dog.

That leads to people attending seminar, after course, after programme, desperate to find the Holy Grail – to know it all.

But what they’re often searching for is not knowledge, but confidence – confidence to set themselves up as trainers and confidence to be able to do a good job at training people and their dogs.

Yes, you have to know a certain amount and be able to teach a variety of dogs in a variety of ways, as well as get on well with people and have certain people skills. But it’s the lack of confidence that stops people taking that big step to follow their dream.

I can help you clear those seemingly unsurmountable hurdles with ease and help you become a dog trainer.

Keep believing and keep safe,

Carol

PS While you’re on the page http://downdog.co.uk/academy , why not complete my survey too and let me know what you’re worried about
