Have you got a licky dog?

Have you ever grimaced at the path of doggy drool left on your skin after your dog has shown you how much he loves you? I love dogs, but their drool? Not so much. Especially on my face.

Does your dog love licking you?

This week’s Talking Tip is all about why dogs lick their owners.

Some dogs are more licky than others. But, as always, there can be a range of reasons why your dog licks (or doesn’t).  It depends on all sort of things – age (puppies lick more than adult dogs and I explain why in the video), insecurity and/or nervousness, exploration, and as part of the scenting process.

You can find today’s Talking Tip here along with all the others from previous weeks.

Finally, please do write in and ask if you have a question you’d love us to answer. We’re about to record some more Talking Tips and I want to make sure they are useful to you.

Keep training and keep safe,

Carol
