Do you want to improve your dog’s behaviour?

Have you noticed your dog’s behaviour changing over the past few weeks?

Every owner I’ve talked to so far has noticed some changes. There have been some improvements, such as some dogs being more settled, or walking better.

But far more often there are some changes that will cause problems as you get back to a more normal life.

These include dogs being far more clingy and following you everywhere, even to the loo; dogs barking more at things in the house and garden; and dogs who are becoming more reactive to other dogs and people, lunging and barking.

I spoke about reactivity and the frustration problems that arise when your dog is prevented from greeting another dog in my talk on our May time Corona-exit Canine Conference, and explained why your dog is being more clingy and give you three tips to prevent it becoming a problem as we leave lockdown. I also covered the reasons your dog has become a frustrated greeter and gave three tips to help you with your reactive dog, too.

During the same conference the other three speakers also gave tips and advice in their specialist areas.  Sarah spoke about how to manage your multi-dog household so that all your dogs listen to you and behave well. Karen discussed how to manage your pup socially through leaving lockdown so that they become well behaved adult dogs. Finally, Claire explained exactly what to do with your barking dog to achieve calm.

Keep training and keep safe,

Carol
