I’ve no idea where this year has gone. And December has flown by. This week we finished our Perfect Pet courses and had to say goodbye, or hopefully au revoir, to a fabulous bunch of owners and dogs.
Everyone who’s been on our Perfect Pet course is invited to join the follow on course, PiiP, or Putting it into Practice, where you can put into practice everything you learn in the course in “real life” places and situations.
It’s fine teaching your dog to sit in a community hall, or come back when you call in your home or garden, but the bit of dog training that takes the most time and practice is making sure your dog can do everything he’s learned anywhere and everywhere, with all the distractions of other people, other dogs, other animals, traffic, airplanes, kites, children screaming, playing ball, running about – the list is endless.
You’ll revise everything you learned in the Perfect Pet course and you’ll get some new games and techniques to add to your training portfolio.
We’re adding an extra Friday PiiP class in the New Year, which will run weekly. We’re continuing the current twice a month Saturday class too, so that will give you more choice in future.
Everyone here at Down Dog wishes you, your family and your dog a peaceful, enjoyable, relaxing and truly wonderful Christmas.
With love from
Carol, Gareth, Catherine, Gus, Tippi and Cali xxx
