I’m not good with technology

For those who wanted to see the cartoon that should have been included in yesterday’s newsletter – sorry.

But it will appear on our Facebook page, because someone else puts the posts up and she is highly competent with technology, whereas I’m clearly not.

It looked fine on the draft – but there was just a rubbish string of letters and numbers in the email that went out.

Sigh.

I’ll never understand computers. I suspect I’m just too old, as any teenager can seemingly work all gadgets within 0.001 seconds of picking them up.

I try hard. But sometimes I think the software developers deliberately make things difficult. They speak a completely different language.

The other day I sent a help request about something I was struggling with. I received a reply very quickly. It appeared to be in English because I understood and recognised the words, but the meaning and message was unintelligible. The respondent used many technological abbreviations and acronyms that made no sense whatsoever to me. So the reply did not help at all.

But luckily, it’s not just me (or I could get paranoid).

Our Website Wonder is still struggling with setting up our Down Dog Devotees membership site. We had hoped, as you know, to have it ready this month, but it now seems there will be a further delay.

I can only apologise.

It’s frustrating as we have lots of content ready to go – training tips, a podcast, loads of help sheets and our first printed newsletters, as well as some webinars in preparation.

So please continue to be patient. I understand you might be getting frustrated – I certainly am – but it needs to be right and working properly and that’s taking a lot more time the we hoped.

It’ll be worth it in the end! See you soon

Carol
