It’s still cold…

We’ve had another 48 hours without heat.

I’ve already told you about Himself’s blooper and our oil running out. That was sorted and we had a few days of blessed heat.

Yesterday we had electricians in to do various bits of work, moving sockets, putting new sockets in and other bits and pieces. They finished late afternoon.

An hour later I noticed the radiators were stone cold. “No problem”, I thought, “the boiler controls must have reset with the power being on and off all day. I can sort this.”

But on looking at the controller, it was completely blank. No power to it at all. The switch was on. The fuse was fine.

It was kaput.

The electricians are due back tomorrow to mend it.

It’s quite spooky how similar things happen close together. One problem of one sort is so often followed by another similar one. Professor Sod had a lot to say about it…

It’s the same with doggy dilemmas. We may go weeks without seeing a particular problem, but as sure as eggs are eggs we’ll then have another similar case within a few days.

For example, at the moment we have two common problem threads. The first is nervous fearful dogs and the second is physical issues.

I’ve spoken before about nervous dogs. It’s no fun being scared of things. Life becomes a series of obstacles and it can quickly become overwhelming. Some dogs shut down. Others use other coping strategies, such as running away or aggression. Nervous dogs need help. Set up a House Visit or Consultation Call today.

Physical problems can often manifest as behaviour problems. That’s why we always ask people to get their dog checked by their vet before we see them. Pain, in particular, can cause all sorts of odd behaviours, but just about any disease or impediment can show itself in behaviour changes in the dog. These pooches often need a two-pronged approach of vet treatment together with behaviour help.

We’re having our problem sorted quickly. Get help for your dog sooner rather than later too.

See you soon
